The Jazz Gallery Presents: Matt Wong

This Wednesday, pianist Matt Wong makes his Jazz Gallery debut as a bandleader. An alumnus of the Manhattan School of Music, Wong has previously played the Gallery with MSM colleagues like saxophonist Nicola Caminiti, and most recently, with Dayna Stephens’s Custom Deluxe:

Wong has assembled a large mixed ensemble for his Gallery debut, featuring a string quartet and frequent collaborators like Caminiti and bassist Kanoa Mendenhall. Expect to hear original Wong compositions that are both richly-textured and well-attuned to the personalities of his bandmates.

Matt Wong plays The Jazz Gallery on Wednesday, May 10, 2023. The group features Mr. Wong on piano & keyboards, Nicola Caminiti on saxophones, Jasper Dutz on bass clarinet, Kanoa Mendenhall on bass, JK Kim on drums, Shaleah Feinstein & Sam Parrini on violin, Cameren Anai Williams on viola, and Ben Roberts on cello. Sets are at 7:30 and 9:30 P.M. E.D.T. $20 general admission (FREE for members), $30 reserved cabaret seating ($20 for members), $20 livestream access (FREE for members) for each set. Purchase tickets here.
