The Jazz Gallery Presents: Jeremy Dutton - Anyone Is Better Than Here

In addition to being an in-demand collaborator among his peer group, drummer Jeremy Dutton has been honing his craft as a bandleader at The Jazz Gallery for several years. This development has now wrought Dutton’s debut album as a leader, Anyone is Better Than Here, released last month. The music tracks Dutton’s own personal growth since leaving school, “shedding idealism for acceptance,” as he puts it. Dutton’s introspection comes out in the aptly-titled “Mirrors,” which you can stream below.
This weekend, Dutton returns to The Jazz Gallery playing music from the record alongside saxophonist Mark Shim, guitarist Adam Rogers, and bassist Harish Raghavan.
