The Jazz Gallery Presents: Nerissa Campbell

While at home on intimate clubs & stages like The Jazz Gallery’s, vocalist & composer Nerissa Campbell’s music comes from an expansive mindset. She’s worked with the ecstatic colors of Balinese gamelan and taken inspiration from backpacking through Alaska. Campbell distills these sounds and experiences into songs of delicate lines and rich shadings.

This week, Campbell returns to The Jazz Gallery with an expansion of her “Silence is a Song” project, featuring her working rhythm section, strings, and fellow vocalist Arta Jēkabsone. Before coming out to hear the band, take a listen to the evocative “Super New Moon Under The Milky Way,” performed live at the Gallery, below.

Nerissa Campbell plays The Jazz Gallery on Friday, June 8, 2023. Ms. Campbell, on vocals & guitar, will be joined by Arta Jekabsone on vocals, Sana Nagano on violin, Emily Hope Price on cello, David Cieri on piano, Desmond White on bass, and Bill Campbell on drums. Sets are at 7:30 and 9:30 P.M. E.D.T. $30 general admission ($15 for members), $40 reserved cabaret seating ($25 for members), $20 livestream access ($5 for members) for each set.
